Its not just the power, its the Torque the STR V8 produces, from way down in the revs , 553 Nm, 408 ft-lb of torque compared to 300 Nm on the 3.0. Thats 253 Nm more than the 3.0, the 2.5 v6 only produces 245 Nm.
